Sometimes there is no ready-made connector. The system is custom work from years ago, the vendor only offers an export, or the party on the other side processes requests in batches and answers when it suits them. The standard tools give up, and the work stays manual.
For us this is the normal work. Anything with an API, a messaging interface or an export capability can be connected; the question is never whether it can be done, but what the reliable route is.

Our system only has an export option, no API. Is anything possible?
Yes. An integration does not have to run over an API: a messaging interface or a periodic export is a workable basis too. All we need is a way to get data out of the system or into it; we build the reliability around that.
The other party sometimes answers only after days. Does an integration work then?
Yes, this is exactly what we are set up for. Our integrations wait patiently, lose nothing, and pick the work back up the moment the answer arrives, whether that takes a minute or three days. Nothing is left hanging in a mailbox or a to-do list.
What does a custom API integration cost?
As an indication: an integration over a standard API starts around €500. Asynchronous or slow systems, several parties or many exceptions: usually between €1,500 and €5,000. Scoped up front, with a fixed price.
How do I know what the integration did?
Every run leaves a record: what was sent, what was received, and what happened to exceptions. When a customer or auditor asks, you look it up instead of reconstructing it.
